A BRIEF
HISTORY
|
|
A group of
Pittsburgh business owners joined together in 1939 to form an
organization that would have as its purpose the promotion of new
business opportunities through a network of cooperation. Today,
these businesses are represented by some of the region's
outstanding companies. From the start, only one company has been
permitted to join P.E.A within a specific business
classification, allowing that firm exclusive networking
opportunities. When vacancies become available, invitations for
membership are extended to businesses recognized for their
success within that category. |
| |
|
PURPOSE
|
| The express purpose of the P.E.A. is
to exchange information among its member firms to increase
business opportunities. The information is exchanged through the
submission of formal business leads at a 90 minute luncheon
every Tuesday. Attendance at these luncheon meetings is an
obligation and strengthens relationships among members. Brief
classification talks are given at each weekly meeting so that
each member may be knowledgeable about the services offered by
fellow members. |
